Avian Flu, SARS, MRSA, Swine Flu, Influenza and The Super Bug
In 2003, the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) warned us of the potential dangers of Avian Influenza H5N1 or Avian Flu and we learned the word pandemic as fear of it spreading to human hosts was discussed. In 2005 the media introduced us to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome or SARS and we began to think about the quality of air on commercial aircraft and other travel exposures. In 2008 we were educated on Methicillin-resistant Staphlococcus Aureus or MRSA, and we worried about our children's exposure as we saw the closing of schools with high infection rates across the country. And in 2009, H1N1 Swine Flu dominated the news and our minds. And for all the wonders science has given us to fight illness, the research and medical communities are now warning us that all of those miraculous medications and treatments may be creating an antibiotic resistant Super Bug (Germ). Common sense tells us that, Preventing illness is always better than fighting illness. So what does that mean? It means that we as individuals need to become more aware of illness exposure opportunities and how to avoid those exposures. It means we need to take more responsibility for exposure prevention in our everyday lives. We can't just go our merry way, hoping that science will always come up with a treatment for the next illness to pop up in the news. The day MAY come when they can't find a cure for the newest germ. We have to consciously plan and work to protect our health and start killing germs BEFORE those germs come after us. The best way to defeat an enemy is to know an enemy, so we need to be aware of the most common "germ spreading mechanisims" which are our shoes ("How Dirty Are Your Shoes?") , purses/backpacks ("Your Purses Could Be Making You Sick!") and even our own vehicles ("Germs, Bacteria Lurk in Your Car"). Obviously, you can never kill every germ in your home, office or vehicle, but every germ you do kill is one less germ you are exposed to.

Innovative SafeSpace® Auto Disinfectant & Deodorizing Mist
(New Leather Scent) was developed by SafeSpace® Company founder/CEO Rick Williams, as the FIRST aerosol disinfectant and deodorizer created specifically for use in vehicles. Vehicles are one of the top breeding places and transport mechanisms for germs which like the closed and controlled environment of a vehicle ("Your Car Is a Bacteria Bomb") ("Germs, Bacteria Lurk in Your Car"). Floor mats and air vent systems are perfect places for odor producing organisms to grow. The problem with most brand name, off-the-shelf, disinfectants and/or deodorizers, is that the course spray they produce is heavy and very, very wet, which is great for hosing down kitchen countertops and toilet seats with disinfectant, but is that what you want to splatter all over the interior of your $30,000 vehicle. As the product name states, the SafeSpace® Auto Disinfectant and Deodorizing Mist uses a very special combination of aerosol pressure, hospital grade disinfectant and release valve, to generate a unique and uniform, ultra-fine, disinfectant mist, specifically created for vehicle interiors and vent systems.
Innovative SafeSpace® Instant Hand Sanitizer (no alcohol)
Using a liquid or gel hand sanitizer is a common everyday tool we all use to try and prevent catching colds, the flu and worse. SafeSpace® Instant Hand Sanitizer is as effective as any big name hand sanitizers, without the dangers of alcohol ("Hand Sanitizer Risks"). SafeSpace® Instant Hand Sanitizer kills germs and even has a touch of lotion to keep your skin soft. Just a pump from the pocket size bottle and you have a germ killing foam that is absorbed faster into the skin, kills 99% of germs and leaves your hands soft, smooth and sanitized, of course.
Disinfectants and Sanitizers...What's the Difference?
On the Internet, Wikipedia® defines Disinfectant as antimicrobial agents that are applied to non-living objects to destroy microorganisms, the process of which is known as disinfection. Wikipedia goes on to clarify the main difference between a sanitizer and a disinfectant is that at a specified use dilution, a disinfectant must have a higher kill capability for pathogenic bacteria compared to that of a sanitizer. A deodorizer either absorbs or mitigates (displaces/masks) odors in the air. The SafeSpace® - Disinfectant and Deodorizing Fogger is a new 2-in-one aerosol product that can; 1) disinfect moistened hard surfaces like any other disinfectant product, 2) disperse a disinfectant fog into the air of a room to deodorize (by absorption) the air AND kill microorganisms on surfaces moistened by the product. Read the SafeSpace® can label completely and follow the directions carefully before using the product.
WARNING:
No EPA approved, off-the-shelf, aerosol product on the market, can actually disinfect air. YES, you CAN deodorize air. But that is NOT the same as disinfecting the air.
How to prevent Swine Flu and other ilnesses
Swine Flu prevention, like common flu prevention, is always the preference to beating a
case of any type of flu. More so these days as many infectious diseases are becoming resistant to antibiotics, adding to the concern of an
infectious Superbug developing in the future. Read more about how to prevent Swine Flu and other ilnesses...
